There are times, on this very site, when we cry out for originality, for Hollywood to stop lazily packaging movies and shoveling them into the marketplace. This is not one of those times. Yes, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have made this movie a half dozen times already, but whatever, we'll gladly watch one more.
The first trailer for "The Internship" has landed and it's familiar territory, but not without some laughs to go with it. The movie finds Vaughn and Wilson playing two watch salesmen who suddenly find themselves out of work, and because of their age, seemingly unemployable. But a chance at an internship at Google has them fighting off against younger, smarter kids for the possibility of landing a job. The premise is really just window dressing to let Vaughn and Wilson goof around with a younger cast and you'll definitely get vibes of "Old School," "Dodgeball" and "Wedding Crashers" throughout. Whether or not it lives up to those movies remains to be seen, but the film is stacked with comic ringers all around the edges, and we chuckled so if anything, it'll hopefully be a decent popcorn time waster.
