A couple of years back, Matthew McConaughey made some Lincoln commercials with Nicolas Winding Refn, and we all had a good laugh with their over-the-top pontificating about a fancy piece of metal on wheels. But the job must pay pretty well as the actor is back to sell some more cars, with another high profile director in tow.
J.C. Chandor (“All Is Lost,” “A Most Violent Year“) directs this latest spot which finds McConaughey still well-dressed and moody about the luxury automobile, but this time choosing not to say a damn word about it. Instead, it offers the metaphor that driving in the rain is like jumping into a pool wearing an expensive suit. Or something. Check it out below. [THR]
