'Polanski: Wanted & Desired' Part Deux? Marina Zenovich Shooting More Footage For New Trial

Marina Zenovich already shot the well-regarded “Roman Polanski: Wanted And Desired” documentary, the evidence of which might help Polanski in his bid to have the case dismissed thirty years after the fact because of judicial prejudice and misconduct.

But is she shooting a sequel or at least an epilogue to the tale? The New York Times Carpetbagger blog reports the filmmaker has been on hand for the new trial dates. The initial trial is scheduled for February 17, but on Feb 13, Polanski’s new lawyer, Chad Hummel, met with with Judge Peter Espinoza to issue subpoenas and round up some potential witnesses in advance of the larger hearing. And Zenovich was there, camera in hand.

What she shooting another documentary? When reporters asked what she was doing there, she responded tersely. “Cleaning up.” If your documentary was potentially responsible for altering the life of one of the most notable and scandal-ridden filmmakers of the 20th Century, you’d probably wanna stick around to shoot the coda too.
