Angelina Jolie To Star In Taylor Sheridan's Upcoming Thriller 'Those Who Wish Me Dead'

So far, we would have to say that Taylor Sheridan has a damn-near perfect record when it comes to filmmaking. With films like “Wind River,” “Sicario,” and “Hell or High Water” under his belt, the filmmaker has become one of the most high-profile creators out there. Hell, we’ll even throw “Sicario 2” and “Yellowstone” in there as quality productions, even though both are heavily flawed. That being said, his biggest project to-date is coming up next, as he teams with Angelina Jolie on a new thriller.

THR is reporting that Sheridan will write and direct “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” with Jolie attached to star in the film. ‘Wish Me Dead’ is based on a novel by Michael Koryta, but the report says the film will go in its own direction. The story follows a teen that has to survive in the Montana wilderness, as it’s engulfed in flames, while killers are on the trail. The novel features a woman, who works at a fire lookout tower, who must help the teen.

Montana wilderness? Killers? Survival skills? Yep, if this doesn’t sound like a perfect project for Taylor Sheridan, we don’t know what is.

Production on “Those Who Wish Me Dead” is expected to begin after Sheridan wraps up production on the second season of the Kevin Costner-starring series “Yellowstone,” which is written and directed by the filmmaker.

While Jolie has been missing from the big screen for the last few years, she’s expected to have a big 2020 with “Maleficent 2” hitting theaters. And most likely, “Those Who Wish Me Dead” will follow suit later that year.
