Earlier this month, Joss Whedon revealed that his first cut of "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" ran approximately three-and-a-half hours. While initial assemblies of movie’s are always extraordinarily long, and don’t represent how the final cut will look, there are still things in there that a filmmaker finds hard to let go of. And that was certainly the case the Whedon.
“There’s one or two things that I’m unhappy about not having in there, but they’re small,” Whedon admitted about the theatrical version. Well, now he’s getting a chance to put some of that stuff back into the movie.
Amazon U.K. already has pre-orders set up for the eventual home video release for ‘Ultron,’ which they describe as being an "extended edition" with an "alternate ending." Now, what’s going to be in that excised material? No word yet, but below you can watch Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen describe some of action sequences they filmed as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch that didn’t make it into the movie. Quicksilver in particular seemed to have a couple significant moments that didn’t find their way into the movie.
There’s no exact street date yet, but we’d wager it’ll arrive in time to put under the Christmas tree, if not sooner. Check out more vids with the director and cast below. [Comic Book/Comic Book Movie]
