'The Bay Of Silence' Trailer: Claes Bang & Olga Kurylenko Go A Bit Mad In Their New Countryside Home

Does anything good happen when a seemingly happy couple moves into a beautiful home in the countryside? If films are anything to base your ideas off of, every time someone buys a new home, it’s either haunted and/or brings nothing but misery to its new occupants. And though “The Bay of Silence” isn’t a horror film, in the strictest sense of the word, the new thriller is pretty terrifying as it shows a couple’s fight with trauma, secrets, and lies.

As seen in the trailer for “The Bay of Silence,” the film follows a married couple that buys a new home and is excited about the fresh start. However, after the birth of a child, the wife begins to act a bit…strange. And this leads the husband to wonder what’s wrong with his partner and why she’s saying weird things about having twins (there was only one baby) and clawing at the walls.

The film stars Claes Bang, Olga Kurylenko, and Brian Cox. “The Bay of Silence” is the latest feature from filmmaker Paula van der Oest. She’s probably best known for her work on the Oscar-nominated film, “Zus and Zo.” She’s also directed features such as “Accused,” “The Domino Effect,” and “Black Butterflies.”
