'Billions' Season 5 Trailer: The Game's Not Over For Bobby & Chuck

Showtime‘s “Billions” is back with all-new episodes. Bobby Axelrod and Chuck Rhodes have been unscrupulous adversaries and underhanded allies. Still, nothing has prepared them for the ruthless machinations of billionaire Mike Prince, who’ll use everything – and everyone – at his disposal to come out on top. As alliances get ripped apart, and new enemies rise, everyone gets roped into the conflict, and consequences be damned.

Paul Giamatti (“Sideways“) and Damian Lewis (“Band of Brothers“) star in a complex drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance. Shrewd, savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis) are on an explosive collision course, with each using all of his considerable smarts, power and influence to outmaneuver the other. The stakes are in the billions in this timely, provocative series.

The drama also stars Maggie Siff, Corey Stoll, Asia Kate Dillion, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin, and Jeffrey DeMunn.

Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe’s dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney (Roma Maffia). Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where Taylor must fight to protect their employees and assets. Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) reevaluates her loyalties and forges surprising new alliances that put her at odds with both Chuck and Axe.

“Billions” is created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. Andrew Ross Sorkin also created the series.

On the recent Brian Koppelman podcast, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino said he’s a huge fan of “Billions,” and that’s a good endorsement. It could explain why British actor Damian Lewis plays Steve McQueen in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.”

The series returns on September 5 and airs Sundays at 9 PM on Showtime.
