'Black Monday' Trailer: Don Cheadle's New Series Presents A Wild Look At The Worst Day In Wall Street History

What do you get when you combine the style and humor of Seth Rogen and Adam Goldberg, the acting chops of Don Cheadle, and the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street? You get what looks like a pretty damn good Showtime series, titled “Black Monday.”

In the first trailer for the series, Don Cheadle stars as a rising star on Wall Street in the mid-‘80s that is all about showboating. Think DiCaprio in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” However, things go downhill fast as Black Monday happens and the boys club of Wall Street falls apart. While the exact storyline is sure to be a mixture of real-life occurrences and fictional craziness, one thing is for sure — “Black Monday” looks fun as hell. Clearly, with Rogen and Goldberg producing, Cheadle, and co-stars Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall, are having a blast playing their characters in one of the most stylish, loud eras in American history, the 1980s.

However, keep in mind, this trailer is definitely NSFW, as coarse language gets thrown around with reckless abandon, as is expected when you talk about a series on Showtime. But there’s something about Hall speaking an Asian language and ending it with “motherfucker” that just feels…harsh. But in a great way.

So, yes, “Black Monday,” we want to fuck with you. “Black Monday” premieres on Showtime on January 20, 2019.

Here’s the synopsis:
