Brendan Fraser Lands Roles In Scorsese's 'Killers' & The New Film From 'Palm Springs' Director

So, are we in the middle of a Fraser-aissance? As in Brendan Fraser? This really started in 2018 with the actor appearing in the Danny Boyle-directed series, “Trust.” From there, he appeared as a voice in the acclaimed DC superhero series “Doom Patrol.” And just this year, he’s already shown up in Steven Soderbergh’sNo Sudden Move.” Let’s not forget he recently signed on to star in Darren Aronofsky’s latest too. But the best is apparently yet to come, as Fraser has lined up two more big projects to add to his slate.

According to Deadline, Brendan Fraser has lined up roles in the upcoming Martin Scorsese feature, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” as well as the new feature from Max Barbakow, titled “Brothers.” Folks, it’s time to get excited about “Encino Man” star Brendan Fraser once again.

Obviously, the biggest of the two projects is Scorsese’s upcoming crime drama, ‘Flower Moon.’ That film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Jesse Plemons and is currently in production with a 2022 release date likely. In the film, which details the serial killings that led to the creation of the FBI, Fraser is expected to play lawyer, WS Hamilton.

That said, as awesome as Scorsese’s film is shaping up to be, don’t sleep on “Brothers.” The film comes from the aforementioned Barbakow, who wowed folks last year with “Palm Springs.” And to top it off, Fraser is going to star opposite Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, and Glen Close in the new film. “Brothers” is written by Etan Cohen and Macon Blair, adding even more bonafides to the film.

So, when you take a look at the last few years for Brendan Fraser, it appears the actor is experiencing a massive resurgence. Let’s just see if he can shoot up to A-list status once again after this round of features.
