As seen in the trailer for “Cinderella,” popstar Camila Cabello takes on the lead role as a girl with big dreams but little hope to see them through. However, with the help of her Fab G (aka fairy godmother), she’s able to see her dreams come to fruition. Oh yeah, and there are plenty of songs to keep the audience singing.

As mentioned, the film stars Camila Cabello as the title character. She’s joined by a cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan. The film comes from writer-director Kay Cannon. Most people probably know her best from her breakout directorial debut, “Blockers,” which was released in 2018. Previously, she was best known as the writer of the “Pitch Perfect” trilogy, so clearly she has experience in musicals.
