Daniel Craig Says "Nothing Is Confirmed" For His Return As Bond

The saga of the next James Bond movie seems to have no end. The one thing we can say with clear certainty, is that a new movie is officially scheduled for 2019. Beyond that, details are up in the air. There are plenty of rumors that the film will be called “Shatterhand,” and Yann Demange, Denis Villenueve and David MacKenzie are apparently on the shortlist to direct the movie. As for Daniel Craig‘s return, confidently reported by The New York Times, it seems it’s not yet set in stone.

The actor is doing the rounds for the absolutely terrific “Logan Lucky,” and of course, the inevitable question about his role as 007 has come up. However, according to Craig, nothing is a done deal just yet.

“You know, I don’t want to be coy, but I really can’t talk about this. Nothing has been confirmed. I know what the papers are saying, and when I read them, I’m thinking ‘What?!’ but nothing is confirmed,” he told WMMR’s Preston & Steve Daily Podcast.

I’m not going to break down the nuances of this sentence, but you can jump ahead your self to the 2 hour 33 minute mark yourself to hear what Craig has to say.

The next Bond movie opens on November 8, 2019. [via Reddit]
