Dave Chappelle Dropping Two New Stand-Up Specials On New Year's Eve

If your idea of spending New Year’s Eve in a packed bar filled with drunken revelers sounds like hell, you’re not alone. Some of us (present company included) would rather find a house party, and failing that, curl up with something to stream. Well, if you’re still undecided about what to do as you ring in 2018, Dave Chappelle is here to help.

The comedian will drop two brand new stand-up specials on Netflix on December 31st. “Dave Chappelle: Equanimity” and “Dave Chappelle: The Bird Revelation” will arrive just in time to pop the champagne, both of which were recorded this fall. The specials cap off a very busy year for Chappelle, who delivered “The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium” and “Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits” earlier this year for the streaming service. In case you’re counting, that’s four specials, which exceeds his original Netflix deal for three.

After a pretty terrible 2017 all around, rolling into 2018 with some laughs seems like a good idea.
