That’s right, in lieu of delivering us a new “Halloween” film this year, David Gordon Green, who directed the 2018 “Halloween” sequel as well as the upcoming films “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends” (arriving in 2021 and 2022, respectively), along with illustrator Onur Tukel and Further Front Publishing announced the impending release of the illustrated (almost) all-ages story, “The Legend of Halloween,” based on the original motion picture screenplay of “Halloween” (1978) from John Carpenter and Debra Hill.

David Gordon Green says (via HalloweenMovies), “Joining this iconic franchise has been one of the most fulfilling artistic endeavors of my career…with this new chapter, we hope to share our own love for ‘Halloween’ with a new generation of horror fanatics.”

Tukel added, “I saw the original ‘Halloween’ when I was about nine years old and it scared the wits out of me. The book is expected to ship by December 1st. You can soon pre-order the book at the official site. There’s even a trailer, which you can watch below:
