'Dickinson' Season 2 Trailer: Hailee Steinfeld Returns As The Famous Poet In Apple TV+ Period Drama

Dickinson” is an interesting, unique TV series, for a number of reasons. First, it’s a contemporary take on the life and career of Emily Dickinson. However, it preserves the period setting, adding a more contemporary tone, writing, and situations, giving the series a bit of a lost in time feeling. Secondly, it’s one of the (so far) rare breakouts for Apple TV+, as one of the launch series that seemed to be popular enough to warrant a quick turnaround for Season 2. And finally, it stars Hailee Steinfeld in a role that allows her to use her dramatic skills and her charm in a way we have yet to see before.

And in the trailer for Season 2 of “Dickinson,” the story of Emily’s rise as an author continues but not without plenty of drama and..supernatural hijinks? Huh? As you can see, Steinfeld’s character is ready to break out and become a published poet but she has to navigate a sort of complicated love story while also sitting in on the occasional séance. I told you, it’s a bit of a wacky series.

Joining Steinfeld in the cast of “Dickinson” are Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, Adrian Blake Enscoe, and rapper Wiz Khalifa. The series is masterminded by Alena Smith, who created the series and still serves as producer and writer. Steinfeld also joins as a producer on the show.
