According to Deadline, Sacha Baron Cohen is the latest actor to join the growing cast of Apple TV+’s upcoming series, “Disclaimer.” The series is written, directed, and produced by Cuaron and marks the first time the filmmaker has directed all the episodes of a TV series. “Disclaimer” follows the story of Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett), an investigative journalist who wakes up to find a new novel on her bedside table written by a widower (Kline). Of course, that’s a creepy thing to have happen, but what puts it over the edge into lunacy is the fact that Ravenscroft finds herself as the lead character in the novel with a story that delves into her deepest, darkest secret. It’s unclear which character Cohen is set to play.

Cohen is probably best known for the “Borat” films, but last year, he earned himself an Oscar nomination for his acting performance in Aaron Sorkin’sTrial of the Chicago 7.” He’s not someone who just accepts random roles, so you have to assume “Disclaimer” is really going to be something special.

It’s unclear when production might begin on “Disclaimer,” but it’s a safe assumption that we won’t see the series until 2023, at the earliest.
