Dwayne Johnson "Laughed Hard" At Vin Diesel Taking Credit For 'Fast' Performances & Confirms He Won't Be In 'Fast 10' & '11'

Is there anything better than the feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson? Honestly? I can’t think of anything that makes my day brighter than the news that one of those two A-list actors has publicly commented about the other. So, when Vin Diesel, in the promotion of the recently-released “F9,” talked about how he was the primary reason that Johnson turned in good performances in the ‘Fast’ franchise (thanks to “tough love”), it was only a matter of time before The Rock had his rebuttal. And folks, it was worth the wait.

Speaking to THR, the interviewer rightly asked Johnson, who is currently promoting “Jungle Cruise,” what his thoughts are about Vin Diesel’s recent comments. And as if Johnson has a one-way ticket into my heart, he gave what might be the best answer ever (with a crucial assist from Emily Blunt).

“I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that,” said Johnson about Diesel’s comments. “And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on ‘Fast 9.’ And I wish them the best of luck on ‘Fast 10’ and ‘Fast 11’ and the rest of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies they do that will be without me.”

Johnson’s “Jungle Cruise” co-star Emily Blunt jokingly added, “Just thank God [Diesel] was there. Thank God. He carried you through that.”

The well-documented feud between Diesel and Johnson goes back years to when both starred in the ‘Fast’ films. It has been revealed that behind-the-scenes drama between the two men is largely what has kept Johnson from recent ‘Fast’ films and focused primarily on his ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ spinoff franchise. And since both men are incredibly proud people, neither wants to let the other have the last word. So now, we just wait for the next installment and continue to let this new comment from Johnson keep us going for now.

“F9” is in theaters now. “Jungle Cruise” arrives in theaters and Disney+ Premier Access on July 30.
