Our tickets are already sold, perhaps twice over, and after the first trailer featuring Gosling singing a sweet song, Stone now gets her time to shine.

Scored to the song “Audition,” the new promo features fresh footage highlighting a visual feast that arguably looks like it could overwhelm the music. And for a story set in Los Angeles, Chazelle has certainly created a look for the city that’s like none other. Here’s the official synopsis:

Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee Damien Chazelle, LA LA LAND tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

“La La Land” premieres in Venice, hits TIFF, and opens on December 2nd.
