Barker, who recently scored the terrifyingly brutal “The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)” and Andrew Haighs’ acclaimed gay romance “Weekend,” has also signed a multi‐soundtrack deal with Swedish music label, Movie Score Media. The label, headed up by Mikael Carlsson, plans to release two albums this fall following Barker’s soundtracks to Karl Golden’s “Weekender“ (distributed in U.K. through Momentum Pictures) and the up and coming U.S. DVD release of Mark McQueen’s “Devils Playground.”
Barker also recently scored Lionsgate’s “The Holding,” released in early September in the U.K., and is also due to score the war horror flick “The 4th Reich ” and “The Vanishment ” – a supernatural horror written by Andrew Haigh – which Barker will co –compose alongside Christopher Young (“The Exorcism of Emily Rose,” “ The Grudge“).
