'Fear Street' Part 1: 1994' Trailer & First Five Minutes: The Horror Begins In Shadyside, 1994.

By now, you’ve likely heard. This summer, Netflix is releasing three “Fear Street” films based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series. One of the more interesting elements of the trilogy of films coming up is that they’re all connected and all directed by one filmmaker, Leigh Janiak. Janiak broke out with the 2014 horror indie “Honeymoon” starring “Game Of Thrones” star Rose Leslie that was met with much acclaim.

“We filmed all three Fear Street movies over one crazy, bloody summer,” Janiak said in a statement. “It’s a dream that audiences now get to experience the story in the same way – back to back to back, with only a week of waiting in between. I can’t wait to welcome everyone into the world of Fear Street in 1994, 1978, and 1666!”

Thus far, Netflix has released bundled trailers for all three, but as we get closer to the July 2 release date of “Fear Street Part 1: 1994,” the streamer has released a full trailer for the ‘1994’ edition. Here’s the synopsis:

The trilogy begins in Shadyside, 1994. In 1994, a group of teenagers discovers that the terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations ​may all be connected — and that they may be the next targets. Based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series, the trilogy follows the nightmare through Shadyside’s sinister history.

Part 1: 1994′ stars Maya Hawke, Ashley Zuckerman, Jordana Spiro, Olivia Scott-Welch, Kiana Madeira, Benjamin Flores Jr., and more. “FEAR STREET PART 1: 1994” is releasing globally on Netflix on July 2, 2021. ‘PART 2: 1978’ arrives July 9, and ‘PART 3: 1666’ hit Netflix July 16.
