A Future? Like With Jetpacks? The Complete 'Scott Pilgrim' Remixes

With the release yesterday of “Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour,” fans everywhere are poring over the final installment of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s six-volume comics saga (with the exception of this writer, who can’t find the sodding thing anywhere in London…). Which also means that the release of Edgar Wright’s movie adaptation is drawing very near indeed.

If we were betting men, we’d put money on the finished film screening at Comic-Con over the weekend, but if you can’t be there, all seven of the special remixes of footage and music from the film, by bootleg/breakbeat DJ, and frequent Wright collaborator, Osymyso, are now online. And while part of us feels that we’ve now seen a little too much, and that you could reassemble the whole film from their contents, it’s been the latest innovative move in what’s been a very savvy marketing campaign so far, and the clips are all extremely well done, and entertaining in and of themselves.

In fact, the way that each clip has focused on a different aspect of the film has reassured any doubts we had that the more serious, dramatic aspects of the story were being neglected; clips like ‘Love’ (the fourth one), and ‘What’ (the seventh) seem to suggest that it’s not going to be just wall-to-wall action and gags.

Oh, and the music is all taken from the soundtrack (which we had a track-by-track review of a little while ago, and it’s ace) or score, by Nigel Godrich. Edgar Wright’s been revealing the specific pieces used for each clip on his blog, and they’re listed below. Check out the clips after the jump.
