Technology might change, leading to TV content being prevalent on streaming platforms and every device you carry in your day-to-day life. But one thing that won’t change is the fact that studios will do everything in their power to replicate past success. So, if you have a ratings hit that wins awards such as “Euphoria,” you better believe WarnerMedia is going to try to do it all over again. Enter “Generation.”

As seen in the new trailer for “Generation,” the series feels almost like a companion piece to “Euphoria,” focusing on the everyday struggles of teens in 2021. From issues with parents not understanding to homophobia and the reality of being queer in today’s society, “Generation” aims to showcase the various plights facing teens. Interestingly, unlike most series that attempt to tell the real-life stories of teens, “Generation” is actually co-created by a real teenager, with Zelda Barnz and her dad, Daniel Barnz, listed as creators.

The ensemble cast for the teen drama series includes Nathanya Alexander, Chloe East, Nava Mau, Lukita Maxwell, Haley Sanchez, Uly Schlesinger, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Chase Sui Wonders, Justice Smith, and Martha Plimpton. The series is also expected to have a number of guest stars including J. August Richards, Mary Birdsong, Alicia Coppola, Patricia De Leon, Diego Josef, Anthony Kevyan, Sydney Mae Diaz, John Ross Bowie, Marwan Salama, Marisela Zumbado, and Sam Trammell.
