'Hot Tub Time Machine' Soundtrack Is Appropriately '80s Heavy Featuring New Order, Talking Heads, David Bowie, INXS & More

We’re the first to admit that we’re definitely anticipating “Hot Tub Time Machine” more than we thought we’d ever be. On paper, it sounds like the dumbest movie ever, okay, even in execution it’s probably the dumbest movie ever, but goddamn if we haven’t been chuckling to the trailers and clips that have hit the web in the lead up to the film’s March 26th release date.

As you probably know by now, the film follows four dudes (John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson & Clark Duke) who are zapped back to the ’80s thanks to a wacky hot tub. Hilarity ensues (particularly in what looks like a constantly line and scene stealing role by Corddry).

The soundtrack tracklist and cover has landed, and not since “The Wedding Singer” can we recall such a perfectly ’80s curated mix. Featuring all the artists and tracks you might expect, there are no big surprises here (though we are definitely curious to hear Robinson’s take on “Jessie’s Girl”), but it seems to hit a good portion of the touchstones of the era. Full tracklisting below as well as a couple of tracks, and the Talking Heads’ performance of “Once In A Lifetime” from “Stop Making Sense,” one of the best concerts of the ’80s (and of all time, frankly).

The “Hot Tub Time Machine” soundtrack hits stores on March 23rd.
