'Handmaid's Tale' Teaser Trailer: Season 4 Arrives April 28

It’s the Television Critics Association’s (TCA) winter press tour week. That means every network, streaming service, cable player, etc., is looking to dazzle the media and audiences with news and announcements. Disney and Marvel made some big noise today, and now it’s time for Disney’s adult-wing of things, Hulu, to show off their wares.

One of the biggest highlights? The long-awaited return of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” entering its fourth season, is already greenlit for a fifth and seemingly showing zero signs of slowing down. The series returns on April 28, with Elisabeth Moss still in the lead and the familiar cast of supporting characters that have made this a relatively long-lasting series in the age of streaming.

Hulu Reveals Premiere Dates for Upcoming 2021 Originals

“The Handmaid’s Tale”
The fourth season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” premieres with three episodes on Wednesday, April 28. In the 10-episode upcoming season, June (Elisabeth Moss) strikes back against Gilead as a fierce rebel leader, but the risks she takes bring unexpected and dangerous new challenges. Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.

The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford and Sam Jaeger. “The Handmaid’s Tale” season four will be executive produced by Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Eric Tuchman, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Sheila Hockin, Kira Snyder, and Yahlin Chang. The series is produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM.

One might argue the series has achieved what it aimed to, and it’s likely not about to gain new followers, but clearly, its viewership is more than enough for the series to continue to be one of Hulu’s golden goose.
