John Krasinski Heads To Hawaii For Cameron Crowe's New Film

Trying to find your footing after the end of a successful sitcom can be tremendously difficult but John Krasinski has been making some pretty smart moves. While it wasn’t quite the success many thought it would be, you can’t fault anyone for teaming with Matt Damon on “Promised Land” (they both co-wrote it), and let’s not forget he has an HBO miniseries brewing with Aaron Sorkin. Now Jim Halpert is going to hang with Cameron Crowe and a lot of other big names.

THR reports that is joining Crowe’s still untitled film that boasts an array of names including Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Alec Baldwin and Bill Murray. The film, which features a talking computer and mystical island fortunes, is appropriately screwball, following a military contractor (Cooper) on a top secret military launch mission assignment in Hawaii who teams with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to kibosh the operation. Krasinski will the play the man married to McAdams, who is Cooper’s ex-wife. We presume sparks will fly.

Production is underway, no release date yet, but keep this one high on your watch list for 2014.
