There are few characters that have achieved the same level of cult mystique as Boba Fett. The mysterious bounty hunter from the original trilogy has been fleshed out in the following decades, given some backstory in the “Star Wars” prequels, and even more narrative space to play in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” Rumors are ongoing that Lucasfilm will eventually give the beloved character his own spinoff movie, but for now, you’ll have to appreciate him in non-cinematic mediums. However, a celebrity voice is going to give him some gravitas.
If you’re looking to kill some time between now and the opening weekend of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” you might want to sit down with “Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View” an anthology of short stories that, yes, are canon. Because the franchise is turning 40, there will be 40 short stories, but for our purposes, the one you’ll want to pay attention to is “Added Muscle.” Why? Because in the audiobook version of the tale, the bounty hunter will have the sultry voice of Jon Hamm. There’s not much in the way of plot yet for the Paul Dini penned tale, though here’s a little taste:

I’m not going to get worked up about Boba Fett being voiced by someone as distinctive as Jon Hamm; frankly, the more mysterious the character is, the better. But there will be plenty of people pretty excited for anything new about Boba Fett, so more power to ’em.
