Kate Hudson Joins Rian Johnson's Star-Studded 'Knives Out' Sequel Cast

Rian Johnson’sKnives Out” sequel, coming to Netflix, has yet another major star attached to the cast. Shocking, I know. But it’s not Johnson’s fault that his new film is attracting such a star-studded ensemble, right?

According to Deadline, Kate Hudson is the latest actor to join the upcoming “Knives Out” sequel that is expected to begin production soon. As we’ve mentioned with each of the recent casting announcements, we still don’t have a synopsis for the sequel. Hell, we don’t even have an official title, as it’s long-assumed that “Knives Out 2” just isn’t going to fly. And sadly, Netflix isn’t responding to my emails about titling it “Knives Out 2: Knife Harder,” followed by the third film being “Knives Out With A Vengeance.” Sigh.

But I digress.

Hudson is probably best known as the actress that has appeared in films such as “Almost Famous” (her breakout role), “Deepwater Horizon,” and about 127 rom-coms co-starring Matthew McConaughey in the ‘00s. (Okay, to be fair, the duo only did two rom-coms, “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” and “Fool’s Gold.” But it really did feel like 127.) Most recently, Hudson appeared in the film, “Music,” and earned a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for her work.
