'Let Him Go' Trailer: Kevin Costner & Diane Lane Rescue Their Grandson In Thomas Bezucha's New Film

You may not know what a “Weboy” is before you watch the trailer for the new film, “Let Him Go,” but the characters sure do. You see, a Weboy refers to a family of off-grid, violent people that don’t follow laws or normal customs. Basically, they’re bad people and definitely not the family that you’d like to have control over your daughter and young grandson.

That’s the problem that faces retired sheriff George and his wife, Margaret, in the film. After the death of their son, a Weboy comes in and begins a relationship with their daughter-in-law. And though the grandparents witness the new man being abusive towards the woman and possibly their young grandson, no one is willing to help them rescue their family. So, with a few guns in tow, George and Margaret make the trip to the Dakotas to take matters into their own hands.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Costner) and his wife Margaret (Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy.  When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family.
