'Loki' Trailer: The God of Mischief Causes Trouble Across Time

While we’re still dabbing the sweat from our brows due to the overload of information dished-out by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, one of the more interesting projects shown, was Tom Hiddleston‘s “Loki” series airing on Disney+. Feige was nice enough to bring along a teaser trailer for the show, revealing it’s going to have much more time-jumping than previously thought. Also, a lot more action, as well. Feige described the show as a “crime thriller,” and then added, if that sounds confusing, don’t worry, “it’s just as confusing for Loki.”

The series cast includes Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, and Wunmi Mosaku. There’s also a tease for Heimdall in this new trailer, but it’s unclear if Idris Elba will reprise his character on the series.

As set photos have pointed out, co-star Sophia Di Martino will indeed be playing a version of Lady Loki in the series.

Time Variance Authority, aka TVA, has seemingly captured Loki and has some special collar around his neck; if there weren’t already enough nods to the Adult Swim series “Rick & Morty,” there is yet another one. The TVA is essentially the police force of the Multiverse. It should have direct connections to multiple projects that will be dabbling within it, such as “WandaVision,” “Spider-Man 3,” “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness,” and even possibly “Thor: Love & Thunder. “

I’m slightly curious if the versions of Loki we even see in this trailer are even all the same one. It’s heavily rumored that a British actress already plays Lady Loki in the series.

The visuals and different settings will certainly give Loki a standout look in comparison to the other Marvel show on Disney+, and I think this will be one to key an eye on for clues for upcoming film projects as well. While there is no specific cate, Kevin Feige said “Loki” is expected to drop in May on Disney+.
