'Loki' Mid-Season Trailer: Loki & Sylvie Return To The TVA

By now you know the drill with “Loki” and its most recent reveals, there’s a Lady Loki (Sophia DiMartino) Variant, who goes by Sylvie, and Loki and she are both bisexual.

“I remember [director] Kate [Herron] being really passionate about it, and that she wanted that to be represented in the show, DiMartino recently said in a Variety interview. “I think people have been waiting a long time for it. The comic books allude to it and even the Norse mythology, I think. It’s been around for so long, and it was really important to her to have that in the show. But we tried not to let that affect the way we were playing it, you know. We’re just playing it like it’s quite natural conversation between two friends — well, two acquaintances, at that point. So we tried not to give it too much weight, but we knew in the back of our minds how important it was to a lot of people. And I’ve got to say how happy it makes me that people are happy to see that.”

Will love and sexuality be part of the series going forward? That remains to be seen, but a mid-season trailer has been released that gives a sneak peek at the remaining three episodes of the limited series. Here’s the synopsis:

Loki,” Marvel Studios’ newest original series, launched on Disney+ Wednesday, June 9, with new episodes streaming every Wednesday through the finale on July 14. 

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer. 

Of course, we haven’t seen Richard E. Grant on the show, so perhaps he’s a time keeper or Mephisto or whatever. The new episode of “Loki” debuts this Wednesday on Disney+. Watch the sneak peek trailer below.
