After the cinematic wasteland that was August, September is shaping up to be much better, especially with Rian Johnson’s “Looper” arriving at the end of the month. The sci-fi film was one of our highest recommended films to see this month — second
First up, Nathan Johnson’s score for the film — the third entry in his on-going collaboration with his cousin — is now available for pre-order through Amazon where you can also listen to 30-second samples of all 19 tracks. For the spoiler-wary, the track titles are pretty vague and fall in line with you would expect of a film dealing with time travel, so we’d wager that you’re safe if you decide to peruse the listing. Amazon and other digital outlets will have the disc via mp3, but for those you who still like physical copies, a limited edition run of 3000 CDs are also on the way promising bonus material. The digital album drops on September 18th, with the hard copy coming on September 25th.
Lastly, courtesy of Kinopoisk, we have a ton of new stills from the film at a fairly high quality and they’re worth it, if only to more closely admire the make-up work worn by Joseph Gordon-Levitt to make him look more like Bruce Willis. “Looper” arrives September 28th. Check out the images in addition to 2 new clips below.
