While “MacGruber” may not boast the best soundtrack this year, it will definitely walk away with honor of being the most eclectic and certainly the most ironic use of music in a film this year.
The soundtrack to the forthcoming comedy ranges in acts from the respectable (The Black Keys, The Hives) to the ridiculous (Michael Bolton, Toto, Eddie Money). But what we are most excited for? The three songs by Kristen Wiig.
We saw the film at SXSW and thought it was a blast, and its currently making its way around the country on a campus tour. The soundtrack will hit stores on May 18th with the movie arriving in theaters a few days later on May 21st.
