Mark Ruffalo Confirms 'Parasite' & 'She-Hulk' Talks Are Underway

Last night, the first trailer was revealed for Mark Ruffalo’s upcoming HBO series, “I Know This Much Is True,” which finds the actor portraying twin brothers. But it appears that his time on TV screens isn’t coming to an end anytime soon.

While speaking at this weekend’s C2E2—a huge comic book convention in Chicago— (via Laughing Place), Ruffalo opened up about two possible new TV series that film fans are dying to see that he is “in talks” to star in. We already knew that the actor was one of the people approached for the upcoming “Parasite” TV series from Adam McKay and Bong Joon Ho, which is set to debut on HBO. But while at the panel over the weekend, Ruffalo not only confirmed that he is in talks to star in the series but that he’d most likely play the father (portrayed by Song Kang-ho in Bong’s film).

While the film version of “Parasite” has a great ensemble from top to bottom, the part of the main family’s father is probably the biggest role, as he ends up with some of the best lines and moments, including the film’s incredible conclusion. And honestly, even without seeing a frame of the TV show, there’s no doubt that Ruffalo would be amazing in the role.

But that’s not all, cinephile! You see, Ruffalo also dropped the news that he’s in talks to make an appearance in the upcoming “She-Hulk” series from Marvel Studios that will debut sometime in 2021 or 2022 on Disney+. And while the title would indicate that Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, would play a major role in the series, “She-Hulk” actually follows Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, and doesn’t really require much work from her green kin. So, there was never a guarantee that Ruffalo would make an appearance. That being said, it’s good to know that the actor’s now-iconic Marvel Cinematic Universe character will likely have more to do in the future, albeit on the small screen.

Obviously, Ruffalo isn’t confirming “Parasite” and “She-Hulk” are done deals, but it does seem like the actor will have a busy TV stint ahead of him.
