The ‘Bourne’ series has always been seen as a smarter, more realistic counterpoint to the James Bond films. But as this video points out, “The Bourne Identity,” “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum” essentially pares down the Robert Ludlum books they’re based on, delivering the same essential narrative each time out: Bourne is on the run and must evade an assassin out to get him, while a bunch of people try to track him down viasuper sophisticated tech. Easy breezy. But credit to each movie for doing it so well.
