'Mythic Quest' Trailer: Creators Of 'It's Always Sunny' Bring Their Brand Of Comedy To Video Games In New Apple TV+ Series

What happens when you take two of the minds behind “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and mix it with the tech workplace shenanigans of “Silicon Valley?” Well, you’ll probably get something like the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.”

And while “Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet” doesn’t have the most easy-to-remember title, all you need to know is that the series is basically Mac from ‘Sunny’ trying to make a video game. As the new trailer for the series shows, ‘Mythic Quest’ tells the story of a narcissistic video game creator, who constantly belittles his employees who are just trying to make the best game possible. The series comes from the minds of ‘Sunny’ co-creators Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, along with co-producer Megan Ganz.

Joining McElhenney in the cast are F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis. Even if those names don’t immediately ring any bells (well, outside of the legendary Abraham), you’ll definitely know them after watching the series, as the cast is filled with some great up-and-coming comedic actors.

Apple TV+ didn’t have the best launch in fall 2019, but it would appear that 2020 might be getting off to a good start with a comedy from some of the best folks in the TV game right now. And if ‘Mythic Quest’ is half as funny as ‘Sunny,’ then the tech company might have one of its first breakout hits.

“Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet” premieres on Apple TV+ on February 7.

Here’s the synopsis:

Co-created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, “Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet” is a live-action comedy series that follows a team of video game developers as they navigate the challenges of running a popular video game.
