New Footage Revealed In Trailer For 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Ultimate Edition

By now, I’d say that most people would argue that an Ultimate Edition of “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” would be shorter, and more coherent, but this is Zack Snyder we’re talking about. So of course, his much talked about extended cut is thirty minutes longer and rated R, though it’s anybody’s guess if that will mean an actual improvement to the movie. Hopefully, it can’t get much worse.

Collider has debuted the trailer for the Ultimate Edition, which is perhaps most notable for giving us our first glimpse at Jena Malone who **spoilers ahead** reportedly plays Barbara Gordon, who won’t be in Batgirl mode. **spoilers end** And there’s more odds and ends in the trailer, with Snyder dishing earlier this year on what else will be glimpsed in the longer cut.

“There’s a little bit of action, there’s a little bit of violence that we trimmed out for the MPAA that we put back. The Batman warehouse rescue, there’s a couple shots of Doomsday that were too intense. Then there’s a little bit longer ending, sort of the ending sequence, and the opening of the movie, the North Africa sequence is really much different,” he said.
