New images have landed for two of our most anticipated films of next year, Greg Mottola‘s “Paul” and Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson‘s “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.” So let’s start with the one hitting theaters first.
Starring a fantastic cast including Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver, Jeffrey Tambor, Joe Lo Truglio and Bill Hader, “Paul” follows two Brit sci-fi geeks (Pegg and Frost) whose pilgrimage to Comic-Con is interrupted when they accidentally meet an alien (Rogen) who takes them on an insane road trip that will change their lives. These new images continue to show that Pegg and Frost going full geek looks absolutely hilarious and we’re very intrigued by a particularly bad ass-looking Hader wielding a gun. The film will hit theaters next spring, on March 18, 2011.
Meanwhile, a few more images from the mo-capped big screen Tintin movie, “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.” Following on the heels of the first official images released last week these latest scans, from the print edition of Empire, give us our first look at the supporting players in the film including Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as incompetent policemen Thompson and Thompson, Toby Jones as the thief Silk and Joe Starr as Barnaby. The cast is toplined by Jamie Bell as Tintin with Andy Serkis, Mackenzie Crook, Tony Curran, Daniel Mays, Sebastian Roche and Gad Elmaleh rounding things out. “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” hits theaters on December 28, 2011.
