'Jackass 4.5' Heading To Netflix On May 20 & Watch Clip

Earlier this year we saw Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Preston Lacy, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, and other new “Jackass” members return for the fourth installment, “Jackass Forever.” With every film installment, there is plenty of extra footage or various comedic bits that don’t make the theatrical cut, and there is normally a lot of good stuff left on the cutting room floor that ends up being put into a follow-up feature-length project. Thus, “Jackass 4.5.”

Netflix announced yesterday on Twitter (see below) that “Jackass 4.5” will be available to stream on May 20 and included a clip from the project that sees multiple jackasses getting smoked trying to cross a swing set at a playground in cumbersome costumes.

Now that they have a younger cast and celebrity cohorts like Eric Andre being slowly introduced to the team as seen in “Jackass Forever,” it’s possible more movies could happen as hinted by Knoxville while speaking with Screen Rant back in January. However, we’ll likely have to wait before a fifth film is announced by the studio.

“I don’t think we’ll ever resurrect the series though because we’ve tasted what it’s like to be able to do whatever we want in films. There could be another film, possibly. We have the younger cast, a ton of ideas. But like [Jeff Tremaine] said, we don’t make plans,” Knoxville said of future “Jackass” installments.

Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast members.

It’s slightly odd that MTV/Paramount didn’t want to keep the content for something like their own streaming service, Paramount+, but I guess Netflix offered them more money or maybe Paramount is content with really only offering endless “Star Trek” shows to subscribers.
