New Posters For Kelly Reichardt's 'Night Moves' & George Clooney's 'Monuments Men'

We’ve got two one-sheets for two very different fall movies. One likely a moodier, small-scale thought piece, the other a star-studded piece of awards baiting entertainment…

We’ll start with the former, “Meek’s Cutoff” and “Wendy & Lucy” director Kelly Reichardt‘s “Night Moves.” Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard, it’s a movie that we’re eagerly anticipating at Venice, telling the story of a trio of individuals who come together to plot the destruction of a hydroelectric dam. But just where Reichardt will take that premise—particularly with her contemplative, minimalist style—is something we’re curious to see. And don’t sweat it if you’re not in Venice, as the film hits Toronto shortly thereafter.

While there are no festival appearances slated for this one yet, George Clooney‘s “Monuments Men” is one many are keeping an eye on over the next few months. Co-written, starring and directed by Clooney—who rounds up pals Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin and more—the film tells the amazing true story of a crew of art historians and curators who seek to recover stolen artwork from Hitler’s Germany as World War II rages on. A period-based “Ocean’s 11” style caper or something with deeper resonance? We’ll find out on December 18th.
