When season one of Starz’s romantic epic “Outlander” debuted it was one of the most buzzed about shows on the air. Lushly shot with gorgeous scenic cinematography, plus a historical setting with twinges of fantastical elements (like time travel!) and the scorching chemistry between romantic leads Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan as Claire and Jamie, respectively, made it enthralling television. The wait between season one and season two, unfortunately, dampened some of that buzz. However, we’re now approaching Season 4, so the Starz series is still doing something right!

And wow, the upcoming season of “Outlander” looks to be ramping things up a notch. There’s the impending American Revolution, the introduction of slavery, and silver fillings? Yes, time-travel shenanigans are afoot, but it appears that there’s plenty of drama in the various ages that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. And if all that sci-fi/historical intrigue isn’t enough to satisfy, then you have the smoldering relationship between the two leads that seems to be going strong, based on the numerous kissing scenes in the newly-released footage.
Also starring Tobias Menzies and Graham McTavish, “Outlander” will return to Starz on November 4.
