Plush's Liam Hayes Scoring Roman Coppola's 'A Glimpse Into The Mind Of Charlie Swan III'

nullWith the fall film festival line-ups now pretty much all revealed, it seems we may have to wait until 2013 to see the sophomore directorial effort of Roman Coppola. It's been over ten years since the deliciously twisted "CQ," but Coppola has now brought together a great cast that includes Charlie Sheen, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza and Mary Elizabeth Winstead for what he describes as "a guy's point of a view of a break-up" in "A Glimpse Into The Mind Of Charlie Swan III." In an interview with GQ, however, Coppola provided a little update on the pic regarding music, noting that he "used exclusively the music of Liam Hayes" having been "absorbed" by his tunes.

Perhaps better known by his stage name Plush, Hayes is no stranger to the silver screen having appeared in "High Fidelity" performing his track "Soaring and Boring." As the image above will attest to, Hayes himself looks like he's walked straight off the set of 'Charlie Swan III,' a fantasy-period comedy set in the 1970s which centers on a titular graphic designer (Sheen) whose life goes on a tailspin after being dumped by his girlfriend. Keep in mind that Sheen was pretty much cast in this off the back of his meltdown last year, which should provide some meta quality to the film.

Just how will the fantastical/magical elements come into the film? Coppola recently explained to Interview Magazine that "for me, magic means a sense of delight, and a sense of play in fantasy. And that for sure is in the movie. It's very imaginative in that there's certain points of fantasy. There's also a Western sequence, and there's just a lot of twist and turns. In order to come to terms and come to understand this relationship that is over, he learns to process it in his own unique way."

Sounds absolutely fascinating and hopefully it won't be too long before the film is unveiled.
