Though there are awards predictions and buzz around Ron Howard’s upcoming film, “Hillbilly Elegy,” that drama may not be his best film of 2020. You see, the filmmaker has already released “Rebuilding Paradise,” a heartwarming documentary about a town that unites to rebuild after a terrible tragedy. And if that wasn’t enough to interest you, how about the fact that two of the best film composers working today, Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe, collaborated on the score?
With the upcoming release of the score for “Rebuilding Paradise” right around the corner, we’re happy to give our readers a chance to hear an exclusive track composed by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe.
For those who are somehow unfamiliar with these two names, Zimmer is a 10-time Oscar-nominated film composer who won the trophy one time for the score for 1995’s “The Lion King.” Most recently, he’s probably best known for his collaborations with Christopher Nolan on films such as “Dunkirk,” “Interstellar,” and “Inception.” For “Rebuilding Paradise,” he teamed with Lorne Balfe, another acclaimed composer, who previously worked on films such as “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” “Gemini Man,” and “Bad Boys for Life.” His music will next be heard in “Black Widow” and the upcoming two “Mission: Impossible” sequels.
“It was heartbreaking to watch the destruction the Camp Fire brought on the city of Paradise, but I have been incredibly moved to see the resilience and hope that has come out of that heartbreak,” said Zimmer. “I am inspired by the people of Paradise, and it has been an honor to help tell their story in a small way alongside Ron and Lorne.”
