'Smallville' Star Laura Vandervoort Joins 'Ted'; Four More Unknowns Join 'Hunger Games'

A couple quick bits of casting here for you.

Firstly, Deadline reveals that “Smallville” Supergirl Laura Vandervoort has joined “Family Guy” creator Seth Macfarlane‘s debut feature film “Ted.” She joins Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel McHale and Patrick Warburton in the film about a man and his relationship with a stuffed teddy bear that comes to life thanks to a Christmas wish he made as a young child. The bear has long been by the man’s side, but now, 25 years later, he’s a smoking, cursing, delinquent nightmare. Vandervoort will play Tanya, a co-worker at the car rental agency where Wahlberg works who is oblivious to the effect her looks have on men. The film is currently in front of cameras with Macfarlane recently tweeting, “Filming on “Ted” has begun at last– best cast and crew a guy could ask for.”

Oh yeah, “Hunger Games” has added four more people. Yawn. District 5 and District 6 now have Chris Mark, Jacqueline Emerson, Ashton Moio and Kara Peterson on board. Only Emerson is playing a person who has a name — Foxface. Anyway, this one will eventually stop casting at some point and start shooting. It hits theaters on March 23, 2012.
