Spike Jonze Bring Dance And "Mutant Brain" To Perfume Ad For Kenzo

Right around the time his feature length directorial debut, “Being John Malkovich,” was hitting cinemas, Spike Jonze had already come to the attention of many by helming two iconic, dance oriented videos for Fatboy Slim: the low-fi fun of “Praise You,” and the Christopher Walken powered “Weapon Of Choice” (which won the director his only Grammy Award to date). Now, he’s feeling that groove again, as Jonze has directed a new, dance-tacular ad for Kenzo’s latest fragrance.

Scored to the song “Mutant Brain” by his brother Sam Spiegel and Ape Drums, the short film of sorts features “The Leftovers” star Margaret Qualley getting wild in fancy clothes, thanks to some choreography by Ryan Heffington (Sia’s “Chandelier”). It’s perfectly, well, Jonze-ian and fans will definitely want to check it out. [No Film School]
