'Sucker Punch' Website Launches, Confirms It Will Be The Most Batshit WWI Movie Ever

So the official site for Zack Snyder’s upcoming fantasy/action/period film “Sucker Punch” has launched, and though there isn’t much on it, the homepage shows us the quintet of Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish wielding their guns on a WWI battleground as a giant mechanized robot thing with a bunny face assists in the fight. Yeah, this ain’t yer granddaddy’s war movie.

To refresh your memory, the film (which also stars Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn and Oscar Isaac) centers on a girl who enters an alternate reality with her friends and begins planning an escape from a mental institution where she was put by her evil stepfather who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. And if that wasn’t enough, the film will apparently also have some song and dance numbers.

The first official still from the film landed last week and featured the lead actresses decked out in leather and fishnets and appearing to be battle ready. We still can’t make heads or tails of this thing, but somehow, it will all make sense by time it opens on March 25, 2011.
