Despite the fact that “Terminator: Dark Fate” features the return of actress Linda Hamilton and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film really is centered on the story of Natalia Reyes’ character, Dani Ramos. And in the new trailer for the film, that character takes center stage.
The new footage for the sci-fi/action film gives us our best look yet at the character of Dani and how she finds herself in the middle of yet another fight for the future of humanity as a Terminator from the future comes to hunt her down. And much like the first film in the franchise, Dani starts as a scared woman with no clue why she’s being hunted, but now must come into her own to help fight the evil cyborg.
The trailer also showcases more action that has yet to be seen in other trailers, as well as more from Hamilton, as she aptly explains her qualifications for helping Dani and her protector fight the new Terminator. “My name is Sarah Connor. I hunt Terminators. Enough of a resume for you?” she explains. And judging by the footage, it’s clear that Sarah Connor is still really great at her job.
The film stars Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta. James Cameron returns to produce this film, which is directed by Tim Miller and written by David Goyer, Justin Rhodes, and Billy Ray. The producer also has a hand in the story of the film, and once again, is telling fans that ‘Dark Fate’ will be the sequel that we’ve all been waiting for since ‘T2.’ We’ll have to wait and see.
