'The Kitchen' Final Trailer: Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish & Elisabeth Moss Break Bad In Period Crime Thriller

When you see the names Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish in a film, you are likely not imagining its going to be a crime drama set in 1970s Hell’s Kitchen. However, that’s exactly what you’re getting with the upcoming film, “The Kitchen.”

Joined by Elisabeth Moss, the ladies play a small group of mob wives that find their husbands locked away for 2 years. With no income, the women decide to join the family business and take over the New York City neighborhood, becoming ruthless criminal masterminds in the process. And while it appears there might be a few laughs to be found in “The Kitchen,” the actresses are dead serious in their portrayal of these lethal women.

She is probably best known for her Oscar-nominated work on the script for “Straight Outta Compton.”

“The Kitchen” arrives in theaters on August 9.

Here’s the synopsis:

“The Kitchen” stars Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”), Tiffany Haddish (“Girls Trip”), and Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) as three 1978 housewives whose mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI.
