Tilda Swinton Confirmed For Cameo Role In Terry Gilliam's 'The Zero Theorem'

nullMore confirmations and little updates continue to roll in for Terry Gilliam's "The Zero Theorem" as shooting is set to get underway in just a few weeks. Yesterday, Brit actor David Thewlis was confirmed as part of the cast, joining Christoph Waltz and Melanie Thierry in the pic. And now another name (one mentioned by Thierry earlier this month) has also been locked down, though for a much smaller role than we had imagined.

The Playlist has confirmed that Tilda Swinton will indeed be in "The Zero Theorem," but her participation will amount to a cameo requiring only one day of shooting and there's no word exactly what the part will be. The story centers on an eccentric and reclusive computer genius (Waltz), plagued with existential angst, who works on a mysterious project aimed at discovering the purpose of existence — or the lack thereof — once and for all. But his task is constantly diverted and interrupted thanks to the Management, who sends a teenager and lusty love interest to distract him. But the basic rule of thumb is that more Swinton is always a good thing.

Hopefully more info is just around the corner — the 36-day shoot for "The Zero Theorem" kicks off on October 22nd.
