Watch: 3-Minute Olympic Preview For Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken'

Unbroken

While he didn’t take home any medals, Olympian Louis Zamperini was fast enough that, at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Adolf Hitler requested a meeting. But a few years later, Zamperini would find his mettle tested in ways he never imagined. And Angelina Jolie will tell his tale.

Unbroken” tells Zamperini’s incredible true story of surviving a Naval plane crash during WWII for 47 days, floating in a raft, only to be captured by the Japanese and sent to a prisoner of war camp. Rising star Jack O’Connell plays the young Zamperini (you can read our recent Berlin interview where O’Connell talks about working on ‘Unbroken’ here) alongside a cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock, John Magaro, Alex Russell and Miyavi, with a script co-written by the Coen Brothers. And in keeping with the spirit of the Olympics, a three-minute preview/featurette has landed showing the first footage from the film along with key historical context and background.
