10 TV Shows To Watch In March

With the Olympics done and dusted, the television draught is now over. Thank goodness, because I think many people were going through content withdrawal; we certainly were. Below are ten of March’s top shows, including premieres, returning and final seasons, to enjoy and dissect:

Atlanta-Robbin-SeasonAtlanta Robbin’ Season
Synopsis: Two cousins work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families.
What You Need To Know: Donald Glover may be the busiest man in show business at the moment. Aside from releasing his latest album Awaken, My Love! under his alter ego, Childish Gambino, as well as taking on the role of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” we now get to finally enjoy the second go around of his Emmy Award-Winning series, “Atlanta.” Named “Atlanta Robbin’ Season” for the time leading up to the winter holidays when robberies and burglaries hit peak levels, the series will once again focus on Earn Marks (Glover) and his struggle to help his client and cousin Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry) become a successful rapper. Not to mention the struggles he finds in his newfound fatherhood as well as his relationship with the mother to his child (Zasie Beetz).

The-Good-FightThe Good Fight
Synopsis: Diane Lockhart and Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad find themselves under extreme psychological distress when an attorney is brutally killed by his client.
What You Need To Know: The world continues to go mad in the thick of Trump’s administration, with the stalwart Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) determined to keep her head above the chaos. After an attorney is murdered by his client, and with a copycat killer on the loose, everyone in the law profession in Chicago is on edge.  Diane teams up with formidable former United States Attorney Liz Lawrence (Audra McDonald) and young lawyer Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) and is drawn further into the proceedings of her father’s trial adding more fuel to the volatile fire. Ultimately, the CBS All Access series is a reflection of the current socio-economic insanity gripping the US, but also an example of how one must rise above and combat it.

What You Need To Know: What do you do when you know the end of the world is imminent? Neil Cross’ (“Luther”) BBC/Hulu co-production takes the well-worn cop drama down a pre-apocalyptic route, with Agyness Deyn (“Sunset Song”) and Jim Sturgess (“Across the Universe”) playing two detectives who discover proof that the world is facing certain destruction in five years, while investigating the death of a London hacker. The duo grapples with this knowledge while attempting to uphold the law, keep their loved ones safe, and attempt to protect themselves whilst trying to be silenced for good by MI5 operatives.

Life-SentenceLife Sentence
Synopsis: Upon finding out her terminal cancer is cured, Stella Abbott must learn to live with all the choices she made believing she was going to die.
What You Need To Know: The CW‘s latest series starring “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale delves into the messy aftermath of her character’s “live life in the moment” lifestyle after receiving a clean bill of health. In the case of Stella, she has to deal with her mother (Gillian Vigman) leaving her father (Dylan Walsh) for a woman, her sister’s (Brooke Lyons) strained marriage to her manchild husband (Jayson Blair), and actually making a life with her shotgun husband, Sam (Elliot Knight). I guess the saying is true: death is easy, living is the hard part.
