What You Need To Know: Amazon’s under the radar dramady keeps chugging along with its fourth season. Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) and Hailey (Lola Kirke) finally make their relationship public as Hailey struggles to prove herself as a conductor and enters a competition in Japan, and Rodrigo learns how to be a good partner and keep his inspiration alive. All the while orchestra drama ensues when Thomas (Malcolm McDowell) joins a start-up orchestra in Brooklyn, and locks horns with Gloria (Bernadette Peters). At the end of the day, all is fair in love and music.

What You Need To Know: The 90s are officially IN baby! The Netflix content train keeps chugging with a coming-of-age series where two groups of high school misfits collide to make a movie about the mind-numbing agony and apathy that is high school in an age where the internet was a nascent embryo and cellphones were still the size of bricks. The young cast, including Peyton Kennedy, Jahi Winston, Patch Darragh, Claudine Nako, Sydney Sweeney and Elijah Stevenson, deftly capture the specific yet universal trials of the crapshoot experience that is high school.

Synopsis: Tensions run high between African American citizens and Caucasian police officers in Jersey City when a teen is critically injured by a cop.
What You Need To Know: Veena Sud’s (“The Killing”) Netflix drama series addresses distressingly relevant and current issues and in America today. After Brenton Butler, a young black teen, is accidentally run over by a white police officer the city erupts in conflict and lines are drawn between law, race and class. Regina King (“American Crime”) as Latrice Butler, mother of the deceased teen, is ferocious in her grief and quest for justice and the cast of Clare Hope Ashitney, Beau Knapp, David Lyons, Raul Castillo, David Lyons, Michael Mosley and Russell Hornsby are equally riveting.

“The Tick”
Synopsis: In a world where superheroes have been around for decades, an accountant realizes his city is owned by a super villain, and falls in league with a strange blue superhero and he struggles to uncover the grand conspiracy.
What You Need To Know: The second half of the first season of Amazon’s oddball superhero series kicks off with the Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) searching for Arthur (Griffin Newman), who has been kidnapped by the Terror (Jackie Earle Haley). Will our beloved blue buffoon find Arthur in time? Will Arthur uncover the Terror’s dastardly plan? To be honest it’s a 50/50 chance, but the odds are looking positive with Arthur’s sister Dot (Valorie Curry) steering the ship.
